Assistant Project Manager – Construction

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support large‑scale multi‑family and mixed‑use construction projects in the Philadelphia area. This position offers a pathway to full Project Manager responsibilities within a nationally respected, employee‑first general contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in day‑to‑day coordination of multi‑family and mixed‑use builds.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, project documentation, and close‑out items.
• Support subcontractor buyout, scope review, procurement, and issue resolution.
• Track project budgets, cost reports, commitments, change events, and schedule updates.
• Collaborate with field teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain progress.
• Participate in meetings with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Help ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.

Required profile

• 3+ years of construction experience with a GC/CM, preferably as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager.
• Experience on ground‑up multi‑family, mixed‑use, residential, hospitality, or large commercial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore.
• Experience using CMiC.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar platforms.
