About the role
The Department of Philosophy seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track Assistant Professor to begin on July 1, 2027. The position carries a four‑course teaching load and emphasizes undergraduate instruction in symbolic logic, advanced logic, and potentially the history of philosophy.
Key responsibilities
- Teach four undergraduate courses per year, including symbolic logic and advanced formal methods.
- Develop and deliver course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
- Mentor a diverse student body and support their academic progress.
- Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and faculty meetings.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or ABD in Philosophy.
- Demonstrated record of strong undergraduate teaching.
- Experience mentoring students from varied racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, gender, and cultural backgrounds.
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and diversity.
