The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor to join its Department of Mathematics & Statistics. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, develop new curricula, and build an active research program in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics and statistics, including labs and seminars.
• Design and revise course syllabi, assessments, and instructional materials.
• Supervise student research projects, theses, and capstone experiences.
• Develop and maintain an independent research agenda, publish scholarly work, and seek external funding.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service committees.
• Engage with the campus community and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
