About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Assistant Professor in Nephrology to join its Department of Internal Medicine. This tenure‑track faculty position combines clinical care, teaching, and research to advance kidney health and education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality clinical care to patients with renal disease in an academic medical center.
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in nephrology and related subjects.
- Develop and conduct independent and collaborative research projects, secure funding, and publish findings.
- Participate in departmental, hospital, and university service activities, including curriculum development and committee work.
Required profile
- MD or DO with board certification in Nephrology (or eligibility).
- Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, including teaching and research.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Clinical expertise in nephrology.
- Knowledge of internal medicine principles.
