Assistant Professor, Interior Architecture

About the role

The Assistant Professor of Interior Architecture joins Endicott College’s Architectural Design Studies Department to teach and mentor students in both undergraduate and graduate programs. The role involves two semesters of teaching each academic year, advising students, and contributing to the college’s accreditation and curriculum development efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of studio and lecture courses in interior architecture, covering hand‑drawing, physical model‑making, and advanced digital design and visualization tools.
• Advise up to 25 undergraduate and graduate students, providing academic mentoring and support.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation activities for the School of Visual and Performing Arts.
• Engage in professional scholarship, creative activity, and development of internship partnerships.
• Contribute to school‑wide and college‑wide service initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to teach interior architecture at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Experience advising and mentoring students in a higher‑education setting.
• Commitment to integrating traditional hand‑drawing and model‑making with digital design tools.
• Willingness to participate in accreditation processes and curriculum development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital design and visualization tools.
