About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine to join its academic faculty. The position involves teaching, clinical care, and research to advance the mission of education, patient care, and scholarly activity.
Key responsibilities
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in internal medicine curricula.
- Provide high‑quality patient care in the department’s clinical settings.
- Develop and conduct clinical or translational research projects.
- Participate in departmental service, committees, and mentorship of trainees.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
Required profile
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Eligibility for academic appointment at UAMS.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, research, and patient care.
- Legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
