Assistant Production Operator – Manufacturing (Greenville, OH)

About the role

Join Spartech’s Greenville facility as an Assistant Production Operator, supporting the production of specialty polymer products such as PETG face shields, COVID barriers, and flame‑retardant materials for aerospace and transportation. You will work in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment where you can grow your skills and contribute to high‑quality manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare polymer resin and perform material modifications.
• Collect accurate production data and maintain process records.
• Maintain process conditions and complete required paperwork.
• Support new product design and process development initiatives.
• Provide technical assistance to the Polymer Processing group and Physical Testing Laboratory.
• Troubleshoot processing issues for a variety of resin types.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs on lab equipment as needed.
• Operate lab‑scale extruders, thermo‑formers, and related equipment.

Required profile

• High level of initiative with the ability to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Attention to detail, reliable attendance, and a “can‑do” attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with polymer materials and processes.
