Assistant Plant Manager

About the role

Coilmaster Corporation is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to support daily operations at its Phoenix manufacturing facility. This role will help ensure production schedules, safety standards, quality expectations, and customer commitments are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, staffing coordination, workflow, labor allocation, and follow‑up on production priorities.
• Maintain an active presence on the production floor to assist supervisors, production employees, and front‑line leaders.
• Identify and resolve production issues, equipment concerns, bottlenecks, staffing gaps, material shortages, and process challenges.
• Partner with Production Managers, Supervisors, Shipping, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other support teams to address operational needs.
• Monitor daily production activity to ensure work is completed on time and aligns with customer requirements, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Track and support key production metrics such as output, efficiency, attendance, scrap, rework, safety items, quality concerns, and schedule adherence.
• Reinforce company safety policies, safe work practices, and expectations across the plant.
• Support quality initiatives by collaborating with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to reduce defects and address customer concerns.
• Participate in customer‑facing discussions to understand expectations and ensure Coilmaster products meet customer needs.
• Assist with Lean manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help with onboarding, training, cross‑training, and skills development for plant staff.

Required profile

• Hands‑on manufacturing leader with experience supporting daily plant operations.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
