Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting

About the role

Southeastern Louisiana University’s Department of Accounting and Finance seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting to join its AACSB‑accredited faculty. The position begins in August 2027 and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting scholarly research, and contributing to departmental, college, and university service.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses across all areas of the discipline.
• Develop and maintain an active research agenda leading to publications.
• Participate in service activities, including committee work and student advising.
• Engage with the university community to promote diversity and inclusion.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in accounting from an AACSB‑accredited program; ABD status will be considered.
• Demonstrated commitment to high‑quality teaching and research.
• Willingness to work in a diverse, student‑focused environment.
• Professional accounting certification and prior teaching experience are desired.
