Assistant Merchant – Retail Merchandising

About the role

The Assistant Merchant will support the Director of Merchandising in shaping and executing merchandising strategies for Beyond Yoga’s brick‑and‑mortar stores. This role focuses on building compelling assortments, maintaining high presentation standards, and driving sales through effective inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Create store‑specific assortment plans that reflect regional sales trends and product opportunities.
• Maintain accurate line plans for each retail location, ensuring correct style, color, and size flow.
• Analyze store performance data to recommend replenishment, chase, and markdown actions.
• Ensure sample accuracy and availability for floor sets, line reviews, and merchant meetings.
• Produce and distribute floor set directives, visual line lists, product knowledge, and merchandising tools.
• Maintain product data in retail systems, including SKU setup, pricing, attributes, and seasonal updates.
• Track product launches, deliveries, and merchandising priorities across cross‑functional teams.
• Conduct market research, store visits, and competitor analysis to inform assortment decisions.
• Prepare weekly and seasonal product performance reports.
