About the role
The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach supports the head coach in managing, coaching, and overseeing the men's basketball program at East Texas A&M University‑Commerce. This on‑site role involves assisting with recruiting, player development, compliance, and statistical analysis to help the team achieve its competitive objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all rules and regulations of the university, conference, and the NCAA.
- Perform data entry tasks, maintain files, and provide statistical analysis for the program.
- Coordinate student‑athlete needs as assigned.
- Assist with recruiting, instructing, and retaining highly skilled student‑athletes.
- Serve as a primary point of contact with high schools and prospective recruits.
Required profile
- Experience in collegiate basketball coaching or a related athletic environment.
- Knowledge of NCAA compliance and conference regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with student‑athletes and coaching staff.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Required skills
- Data entry proficiency.
- Statistical analysis capability.
