Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising

About the role

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is seeking an Assistant Manager, Visual Merchandising to lead the visual presentation of its retail space. Reporting to the Manager, Retail, you will shape the guest experience through compelling store displays that reflect the museum’s storytelling brand.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution and maintenance of visual merchandising standards, floor sets, and product displays.
• Ensure the sales floor is visually compelling, organized, and aligned with brand and seasonal strategies.
• Support the development and implementation of merchandising plans that drive customer engagement and sales performance.
• Monitor visual presentation, product placement, and inventory flow to maximize space productivity and product visibility.
• Train and coach frontline staff on merchandising standards, product presentation, and visual upkeep expectations.
• Partner with Operations teams to support efficient replenishment and execution of floor changes.
• Collaborate with Customer Experience teams to ensure visual presentation enhances the overall guest journey.
• Analyze sales trends and customer behavior to identify merchandising opportunities and improve product storytelling.
• Maintain cleanliness, fixture organization, signage accuracy, and visual consistency throughout the store.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of progressive experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a retail environment.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to translate brand storytelling into compelling store displays.
• Demonstrated ability to train and coach frontline staff on visual standards.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
