Assistant Manager – Facilities & Operations West Campus

About the role

The Athletic Department at Texas A&M University seeks an Assistant Manager to oversee facilities and operations on the West Campus. This position supports the maintenance, custodial, and grounds services for key venues, ensuring they are ready for practices, competitions, and events.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and custodial issues for E.B. Cushing Stadium, Murray Fasken Indoor Track, and Mitchell Tennis Center.
• Coordinate furniture/equipment moves, light repairs, and supply inventory for assigned venues.
• Serve as liaison for work orders, track progress, and communicate updates to coaches and staff.
• Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
• Assist with game‑day set‑up and breakdown, ensuring venues are prepared for all activities.
• Support the Facility Condition Assessment and manage key/keyless access for buildings.
• Maintain up‑to‑date venue operation guides and assist with branding initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in facilities or building management, preferably in an athletic or university setting.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple work orders.
• Effective communication with coaches, staff, and external vendors.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in sports facilities.
