Assistant General Manager – Restaurant Operations

About the role

Chipotle is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily restaurant operations, develop crew members, and ensure a guest‑obsessed experience. This position provides a clear pathway to a General Manager role within a fast‑growing fast‑casual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold top‑notch standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Act as leader on duty, ensuring speed of service, accuracy, and a positive guest experience.
• Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources.
• Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Learn and assist with day‑to‑day operational tasks such as scheduling, P&L management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing.
• Maintain a clean, guest‑ready dining room and restaurant environment.
• Enforce food safety, operational, and compliance standards.
• Work a standard 50‑hour week, including evenings and weekends, with applicable overtime paid.

Required profile

• Friendly, enthusiastic attitude with a desire to grow into a General Manager role.
• Genuine enthusiasm for people development and team leadership.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours daily, lift 50 lb (≈23 kg), and work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Previous restaurant management experience preferred (scheduling, P&L, food safety, sales forecasting, recruiting).
