Assistant General Manager – Restaurant

About the role

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in delivering an exceptional dining experience, overseeing both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations. This position is responsible for maintaining quality, profitability, and guest satisfaction in a high‑volume, fine‑dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, develop, evaluate, and coach restaurant staff; create weekly schedules.
• Lead daily operations, manage shifts, and ensure consistent service standards.
• Act as the primary manager in the General Manager’s absence.
• Monitor food quality, safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies.
• Control product and labor costs to meet financial targets.
• Handle guest feedback, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee POS system functionality and cash handling procedures.
• Support new menu rollouts and operational initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Assistant General Manager in a fine‑dining restaurant.
• Minimum five years of experience in a high‑volume, full‑service environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage costs, and deliver superior guest experiences.
