Assistant General Manager – Postcard Cabins (Larue, TX)

About the role

The Assistant General Manager will lead daily operations at Postcard Cabins Piney Woods, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability. Reporting to senior leadership, you will uphold brand standards and foster a collaborative environment for all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate front desk, housekeeping, reservations, guest service, security, and maintenance teams.
• Maximize Average Daily Rate (ADR) and occupancy through strategic pricing and inventory management.
• Facilitate communication between sales and operating departments.
• Motivate, coach, and train department supervisors.
• Interpret financial statements, manage budgets, and apply staffing guidelines.
• Control schedules, monitor expenses, and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and systems to improve operations.
• Oversee the safety program, including training, reporting, and incentives.
• Maintain a positive, cooperative work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years of supervisory experience in hotel operations.
• Experience with major brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and staffing guidelines.
• Proven track record of delivering high guest‑satisfaction scores.
• Ability to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
• Commitment to safety programs and training.
• Demonstrated initiative, perseverance, and analytical thinking.
