Assistant General Manager – Fine Dining Restaurant

About the role

The Iberian Pig, a modern Spanish tapas restaurant in Charlotte, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in delivering exceptional fine‑dining experiences. The role combines operational oversight, team development, and financial stewardship in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guest Experience – train service team, ensure table touches and high‑quality service.
• Accounting & Administrative – complete weekly payroll and tip reports, maintain internal accounting systems.
• Marketing & Sales – keep reservation system optimized, contribute to off‑site outreach and sales initiatives.
• Human Resources – manage interviews, hiring, onboarding, training, and promote internal growth.
• Operations – oversee day‑to‑day opening and closing shifts and overall restaurant operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years hospitality experience with proven leadership as a Lead Server, Dining Room Manager or equivalent in fine‑dining.
• Demonstrated ability to develop teams, drive financial performance and maintain high service standards.
• Strong commitment to genuine hospitality and an owner’s mindset.
