Assistant Editor – Animation Production

About the role

The Assistant Editor supports the editorial team throughout the animation pipeline, from pre‑production to post‑production, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow for Disney Television Animation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Avid projects and keep all media files organized.
• Process storyboards using Flix and import layout, animation, and lighting shots.
• Log, import, and prep dialogue recordings, including scratch dialogue, production sessions, and ADR.
• Generate movie files for sound, digital intermediate, and music departments.
• Organize sound effects and music assets.
• Assist editors with Avid builds for screenings and quality checks.
• Publish to production, manage EDLs and change notes, and provide timely information to the production team.
• Support retake sessions and upload screeners to PIX as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in animation editorial.
• Strong proficiency with Avid Media Composer.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Understanding of feature‑animation pipelines and workflows.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
