Assistant Director of Compliance & System Operations

About the role

The University seeks an Assistant Director to lead financial aid compliance and system operations within the Campus Solutions (PeopleSoft) environment. This senior functional role ensures that all financial aid processes are accurately configured, compliant with regulations, and efficiently integrated with campus technology.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the functional lead for financial aid in Campus Solutions, overseeing budgets, packaging, awarding, Pell processing, ISIR intake, and disbursement.
• Collaborate with IT and Campus Solutions teams to design, test, implement, and maintain system configurations and enhancements.
• Coordinate system integrations, automated workflows, and data exchanges between financial aid platforms and institutional technology.
• Monitor and manage batch processes such as ISIR imports, Pell origination, COD file exchanges, and loan/grant cancellations.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Title IV, state programs, and university policies.
• Develop and maintain a quality‑control framework with regular reviews of packaging, awarding, and eligibility.
• Maintain the Financial Aid Policies and Procedures manual and create detailed job aids.
• Deliver training programs for financial aid staff and track completion.
• Support federal, state, and institutional reporting, audits, and program reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading financial aid operations and system configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Title IV regulations and state financial‑aid programs.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, compliance, and academic teams.
