Assistant Deli Manager – Tyler, TX

About the role

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to support daily operations of the deli department at a store in Tyler, Texas. You will work closely with upper management to ensure food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while driving sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and display hot and cold foods according to company standards.
• Train, schedule, and direct deli staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation to maintain optimal in‑stock levels.
• Review sales, promotions, and profit‑and‑loss data to support strategic decisions.
• Enforce food safety and quality control, inspecting products for aroma, flavor, texture, and appearance.
• Handle slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and catering orders.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and taking orders in person or by phone.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environment.
