Assistant Corporate Counsel, Supply Chain

About the role

Moog is seeking an Assistant Corporate Counsel to serve as the primary legal partner for its supply chain and procurement functions. Working hybrid from the Buffalo area, you will support both indirect and direct procurement initiatives, ensuring legal compliance while enabling business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements related to indirect procurement, manufacturing, and purchasing.
• Act as the legal liaison for company‑wide direct procurement projects and provide guidance on vendor, supplier, and logistics contracts.
• Advise on intellectual property, cybersecurity, and data‑privacy issues that arise with supply‑chain partners.
• Support compliance with industry‑specific regulations, including aerospace, defense, FAR/DFARS, and international trade rules.
• Assist with litigation and dispute‑resolution matters linked to commercial or supply‑chain activities.
• Manage multiple legal projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (preferably New York).
• Minimum five years of legal experience focused on supply‑chain, procurement, and commercial transactions.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, the UCC, and international trade regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for both legal and non‑legal audiences.
• Residency in the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite as needed.

Required skills

• Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) software.
