Assistant Community Manager (Zaterra)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Zaterra community. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, entering data accurately and performing system backups.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor and contractor invoices, obtain Community Manager approval, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate communications.
• Follow established eviction procedures, issue proper notices, and represent the community in court hearings when required.
• Handle resident move‑outs, apply deposit and lease cancellation fees, and process related financial adjustments.

Required profile

• Experience in property‑management accounting or related financial administration.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial transactions accurately.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and legal parties.
• Familiarity with eviction processes and lease enforcement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software.
• Proficiency with OneSite property‑management software.
