Assistant Community Manager – Villas at Carrington Square

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Villas at Carrington Square community in Overland Park, Kansas. This onsite position involves handling accounting tasks, rent collection, invoicing, and using property management software to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and process account reconciliations.
• Generate monthly close‑out and other financial reports.
• Process invoices and payables, coding charges to the appropriate chart of accounts.
• Operate the property management software (Yardi/OneSite) and maintain data integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Manage vendor invoices, obtain approvals, and coordinate communication between vendors, accounting, and owners.
• Follow established eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings, and handle resident move‑outs.

Required profile

• Experience with basic accounting or bookkeeping tasks.
• Familiarity with property management operations and resident relations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
