Assistant Community Manager (The Sto)

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the property known as The Sto. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering transactions accurately and maintaining system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate with accounting and ownership.
• Follow established eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings, and manage resident move‑out processes, including deposit and fee assessments.
• Prepare monthly close‑out reports, financial statements, and other required documentation.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and legal parties.
• Experience in property‑management accounting or a related financial role.
• Ability to follow strict procedural guidelines, especially regarding evictions and financial compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi and OneSite property‑management software.
• Fundamental bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
• Bank reconciliation and invoice processing experience.
