Assistant Community Manager – The Essex

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of The Essex community. This position is essential for ensuring accurate accounting, timely rent collection, and smooth day‑to‑day financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Operate the property management software (Yardi/OneSite) to enter transactions, update records, and maintain system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate with accounting and ownership.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements, court representation, and resident move‑out processing.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record‑keeping.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Ability to follow established policies and procedures, especially regarding evictions and collections.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
