About the role
The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of The Burke community. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, and vendor payments while ensuring accurate record‑keeping in the property management system.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
- Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and process month‑end close‑out.
- Generate financial reports and track community expenses.
- Enter and update transactions in Yardi/OneSite, maintaining data integrity.
- Review resident files for unpaid balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to reduce delinquencies.
- Review, code, and submit vendor invoices for approval and payment.
- Follow established eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings, and manage resident move‑out processes.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented with strong numerical accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with property‑management accounting processes.
- Comfort handling eviction notices and related legal steps.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Yardi/OneSite property management software.
