Assistant Community Manager – Property Management

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a residential community. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, prepares financial reports, and ensures accurate processing of rent and fees.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and perform account dispositions.
• Process invoices, manage payables, and assist with month‑end close‑out activities.
• Generate financial reports and statements for the community.
• Maintain accurate records in the property management software (Yardi/OneSite).
• Support the Community Manager with operational and administrative duties as needed.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents and internal staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi/OneSite property management software.
