Assistant Community Manager – Eastwood Village

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Eastwood Village community. This temporary position involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for a stabilized garden‑style property of 360 units.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate the property‑management software (Yardi/OneSite), entering data accurately and performing system backups.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors, verify work performed, and manage payment processing.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and representation in court hearings.
• Prepare monthly close‑out reports and other financial statements for ownership review.

Required profile

• Temporary (fixed‑term) position, Monday‑Friday with rotating weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
