Assistant Business Controller

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking an Assistant Business Controller to support the Business Control Manager for US Operations in Mebane, NC. The role will involve day‑to‑day financial analysis, reporting and administrative support to help drive the company’s manufacturing and machining solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily financial operations, including results review, budgeting, quarterly forecasts and strategic business planning.
• Support monthly closing activities: prepare journal entries, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Maintain product cost accuracy and oversee fixed‑asset acquisition analysis, inventory valuation and overall asset protection.
• Prepare and deliver financial information and reports to unit and executive management.
• Help manage employee incentive plans and conduct financial analyses for special projects and appropriation requests.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and local regulations, and process internal invoicing.
• Provide troubleshooting for internal systems such as GSS, Sopic‑P and Microsoft Office tools.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business unit managers and external authorities.
