Insomnia Cookies is seeking a full‑time Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) for its University Boulevard store in Charlotte, NC. This leadership pipeline position prepares you to become a Bakery Operations Manager by handling day‑to‑day bakery functions with urgency, accuracy, and accountability while developing your team‑leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations: inventory rotation, ordering, shrink control, and adherence to food‑safety and cleanliness standards.
• Support scheduling, labor execution, and staffing coordination to meet operational targets.
• Assist the Bakery Operations Manager (BOM) with administrative checklists and operational documentation.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new team members; provide real‑time coaching and performance feedback.
• Maintain a culture of accountability, enforce standards, and model a growth‑mindset environment.
• Manage bakery operations independently during BOM absences and ensure continuity during staffing shortages.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable.
• Readiness to step into full bakery ownership when needed.
