Assistant Automotive Store Manager (Floater, Santa/Anaheim)

About the role

Monro, Inc., one of the nation's largest auto service companies and tire retailers, is hiring an Assistant Automotive Store Manager as a floater working multiple nearby locations in Santa and Anaheim. The role covers all aspects of everyday store operations, including the efficient, productive and safe operation of the service bays, and starts with a comprehensive management training program. Pay is $20.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience, with eligibility for monthly and quarterly bonus payouts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Manager on store operations and on hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and terminating employees.
• Support automotive technicians in creating and maintaining a productive sales environment by training teammates on shop operations and guest services.
• Assist with employee scheduling, timecards and assigning work to Lube and Tire technicians.
• Perform duties of an automotive technician when needed.
• Attend meetings and clinics to stay current on tools, parts and repairs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of automotive and sales experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
• Guest and team focused mindset.

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic algebra to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
• Preferred: ASE Automotive Certifications, state inspector license, proven automotive or quick lube sales experience and leadership experience.
