Assembly & Test Technician I

About the role

Moog is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician I to join its Space and Defense Group in the Buffalo, NY area. The role is on‑site, second‑shift, and focuses on building and testing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro‑mechanical valve and actuator systems. You will work closely with senior operations staff to ensure high‑quality production output.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assembly operations on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro‑mechanical components using a variety of measuring instruments and tools.
• Execute high‑reliability soldering and crimping of wires on complex sub‑assemblies.
• Interpret drawings, worksheets, and parts lists to build units accurately.
• Conduct diagnostic rework on units that fail test requirements.
• Repair production units and work on hydraulic stands for assembly tasks.
• Carry out defined testing procedures and document results.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with the ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• At least one year of related technical experience.
