Assembly Specialist Manufacturing Manager

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Assembly Specialist Manufacturing Manager to lead the S15 Assembly Line in Kinston, NC. The role combines technical leadership with full responsibility for all manufacturing activities at the station, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all employees assigned to the station, including selection, performance management, development, and recognition.
• Provide direction and oversight to production activities, monitoring aircraft progress through the station.
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate all tools and jigs belonging to the station.
• Act as deputy for the Business Unit Leader (PLM) in their absence.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote a safe working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing management, preferably in aerospace or composite structures.
• Strong understanding of tool and jig maintenance and calibration processes.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and act as a liaison between production functions.
• Willingness to serve as a deputy leader and make decisions in the Business Unit Leader’s absence.
