Assembler II – Second Shift Manufacturing

About the role

Moog’s Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City is seeking an Assembler II for the second shift (3 pm‑12 am, Monday‑Thursday; 3 pm‑11 pm every other Friday). You will work on the Manufacturing Assembly and Test team, reporting to the Assembly & Test Supervisor, in an on‑site, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot assembly line machinery and equipment.
• Install components, sub‑assemblies, or finished products using the machinery.
• Move, pack, and sort raw materials and finished goods.
• Monitor product quality, identify defects, and initiate re‑work or discard as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily production records for performance analysis.
• Cross‑train on multiple production lines to ensure flexibility.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in mechanical systems preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of electro‑mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organized work practices, and good housekeeping.
• Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOMs, and test specifications.
• Experience with circuit cards and understanding of ESD controls.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
