Artist Catering Supervisor

About the role

Legends Global, a hospitality and events agency serving professional sports, collegiate, attractions, entertainment, international and convention clients, is hiring an Artist Catering Supervisor. The role supervises and coordinates stand workers in the VIP area, oversees stand set-up and closing, keeps workstations clean and stocked, and ensures food preparation meets Legends' and the board of health's guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate stand workers in the VIP area and oversee or take part in stand set-up and closing, including inventory counts, prep and cleaning.
• Keep workstations clean and well stocked, order replacement stock from runners and complete required paperwork accurately.
• Ensure staff follow alcohol policies and manage staff so food preparation meets the guidelines set by Legends and the board of health.
• Be able to fill any position in the location if needed, and at closing help count ending inventory, clean equipment and organise stock for the next event.
• Work with the customer service department to improve service, input daily event sheets and reports, and handle assigned schedules.
• Perform inventory at assigned locations, maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with service, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Provide personal service to guests, know the venue layout and the food and beverage menu, specials and services offered.
• Follow and encourage safety policies, report safety incidents through the company's risk management system, and complete safety training.

Required profile

• Two to four years of experience in a fast-paced, high-end club, restaurant or catering location.
• High school diploma; some college preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays, and to stand, kneel, lift up to 30 pounds and walk long distances.
• Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage servers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the POS system, including voids, credit card issues and closing procedures.
• Ability to read and maintain information, perform simple math calculations and speak, read, write and understand English.
• Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
