Armed Security Officer - Residential Response

About the role

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Custom Protection Officer (CPO) in Westlake Village, California. The officer conducts armed foot and/or vehicle patrols inside and outside the premises, controls access and egress, monitors CCTV and alarm systems, writes reports and helps deter criminal activity. Shifts are day and overnight, at $28 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in a vehicle and watch for irregular or unusual conditions
• Sound alarms or call police or fire in case of fire or unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rules such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden items
• Permit authorized entry, monitor entrances and exits and check departing personnel
• Investigate accidents, incidents and suspicious activity and keep written logs
• Aid customers, employees and visitors professionally and make emergency notifications per site Post Orders
• Recommend productivity improvements, physical security surveys and post orders to management

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of armed security, law enforcement or military experience
• One of: military service in a law-enforcement-related specialty, or 2+ years as a sworn officer carrying a firearm with no disciplinary action
• Age 21 or older
• Guard card, driver's license, exposed firearm, baton and pepper spray
• Licensing subject to state and local law
