Armed Security Officer - Financial Institution

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Armed Patrol Officer in Conway, SC, to protect clients in industries such as financial institutions. The officer conducts routine patrols, keeps a visible presence to deter incidents and supports a secure environment for employees and visitors, while providing customer service and responding professionally to security concerns. Pay is $17.77 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees while carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking areas, ATMs and the surrounding perimeter to spot unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, following procedures for authorized entry and reporting irregularities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations according to site protocols.
• Write clear, accurate patrol and incident reports and complete required documentation.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police or corrections experience.
• An armed guard card or license; applicants must be at least 21 for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Required skills

• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
