Armed Physical Security Officer

About the role

Mastercard is seeking an Armed Physical Security Officer to coordinate daily security operations from the Security Control Center in Missouri. The role ensures a safe environment for employees, visitors, and assets while maintaining compliance with Mastercard’s security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day physical security activities, including employee badging and access control.
• Monitor building alarm, CCTV, and other security systems from the 24x7 Security Control Center.
• Assign security post rotations and oversee security staff operations.
• Dispatch security officers to alarms, access issues, and emergency situations.
• Manage incident reports, conduct investigations, and provide detailed documentation.
• Ensure vendor compliance with security operating guidelines.
• Act as first responder for fire, medical, and security emergencies, liaising with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Prepare and deliver shift briefings and maintain key control access.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an AHA‑Basic Life Support Provider (CPR) certification.
• If armed, ability to obtain and retain the required firearms authorization.
