Area Vice President

About the role

The Area Vice President leads a team of Sales Directors across a defined geographic region, driving revenue growth, new business acquisition, and account expansion. Reporting to the Market Vice President, this role is responsible for sales execution excellence, customer engagement, and talent development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop Sales Directors to meet area‑level sales, pipeline, activity, and forecast targets.
• Ensure disciplined sales execution through opportunity strategy, territory planning, competitive positioning, and customer engagement.
• Maintain strong pipeline health, accurate forecasting, and consistent use of sales methodologies, CRM, and performance management processes.
• Attract, hire, and develop high‑performing sales leaders, conducting regular performance reviews and development plans.
• Support Sales Directors in building deep customer relationships and advancing major opportunities.
• Monitor competitive trends and market dynamics within the area.
• Review and manage forecasted revenue streams on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
• Analyze area performance to improve productivity and expand market penetration.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive sales experience with a proven record of leading high‑performing teams.
• Experience in office technology, managed services, software, or related B2B industries preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Strong business acumen, analytical capability, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and travel within the assigned area.
