Area Sales Manager (Austin)

About the role

Sundays For Dogs is launching a new direct‑to‑consumer field sales channel in Austin, Texas. As the Area Sales Manager you will build this channel from scratch, leading a small team of Brand Ambassadors to engage dog owners at farmers markets, community events, and other high‑traffic venues.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train and coach a team of 3–5 Brand Ambassadors.
• Develop and maintain a field‑sales calendar, selecting events that match audience fit and conversion potential.
• Execute on‑site activations, ensuring brand consistency, staffing, and a seamless iPad‑based subscription sign‑up experience.
• Track daily and weekly subscription metrics, analyze performance, and iterate on pitch, positioning, and event selection.
• Collaborate with Operations, Growth, and Creative teams to align messaging, sampling protocols, and onboarding processes.
• Report insights and learnings to help scale the model to additional markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and leading small field sales teams.
• Strong ability to recruit, train, and motivate brand ambassadors.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on genuine customer conversations.
• Data‑driven mindset; comfortable tracking metrics and adjusting tactics quickly.
• Self‑starter who can develop playbooks, manage schedules, and hold the team accountable to results.
