Area Manager – Delivery‑Only Starbucks Cafés

About the role

The Area Manager will oversee a portfolio of 5‑15 delivery‑only Starbucks licensed cafés in the Chicago region. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive performance, coach store teams, and ensure compliance with Gopuff and Starbucks standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to meet financial, operational, and customer‑service goals for each café.
• Coach, motivate, and develop store leaders, operators, and business owners.
• Monitor key performance indicators weekly and take corrective actions.
• Provide expertise on staffing, store operations, and policy compliance.
• Support new store launches and train newly formed teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with MFC partners, GMs, dispatch, and driver operations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of retail experience managing multiple stores or units, including P&L, inventory, and operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing teams of six or more.
• Food Safety Manager Certification (CFM) preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze sales drivers and improve KPI performance.
