Area Coordinator – Housing Operations (Live‑in)

About the role

The Area Coordinator for Housing Operations will oversee the daily management of residence halls and university apartments on the Monticello campus. This live‑in position ensures smooth housing services for students and supports campus life through effective use of the StarRez system.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of all residence halls and university apartments.
• Serve as the functional user for StarRez Housing Management Software, maintaining accurate housing assignments, occupancy records, room inventories, and key management.
• Process housing applications, assignments, room changes, cancellations, and contract updates through StarRez.
• Generate occupancy, assignment, utilization, and operational reports to aid departmental planning.
• Assist with housing selection, room assignments, and residential occupancy management for new and returning students.
• Coordinate opening, closing, break‑housing, and transition processes.
• Conduct routine room inspections and prepare rooms for student occupancy, conferences, camps, and special events.

Required profile

• Experience in residence‑hall or housing operations.
• Familiarity with StarRez or similar housing management software.
• Strong organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to generate and interpret operational reports.
