Architectural & Engineering Drawing Technology Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a qualified instructor to teach Architectural and Engineering Drawing Technology (Drafting) courses at Chattahoochee Technical College. This full‑time position reports to the Associate Dean of Computer, Manufacturing and Engineering Technology and the Dean of Business and Technical Studies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction for Arch. and Eng. Drawing Technology courses, potentially across multiple campuses.
• Develop course syllabi, learning objectives, and assessment materials.
• Evaluate student progress and maintain required documentation and administrative reports.
• Participate in staff development, workshops, seminars, and college committees.
• Provide academic support services, including student advisement, tutoring, recruitment, retention, and job placement assistance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, or a related field (or a Drafting diploma combined with a related bachelor’s).
• Post‑secondary teaching experience with computer‑assisted instruction and student advisement.
• Experience with Blackboard learning management system.
• Professional background in Mechanical and Architectural Engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Blackboard.
