Architect/Designer – Arts & Culture Projects

About the role

Bureau V Architecture, a queer‑led studio in New York, is seeking an architect/designer to join its small, client‑focused team. You will work on a variety of cultural and performance‑related projects, from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to design development across all project phases, from concept to construction.
• Produce and manage construction documents.
• Communicate directly with clients and consultants to ensure design intent.
• Coordinate project schedules and keep work progressing smoothly.
• Research products, materials, and support specification development.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in architecture.
• Strong design sensibility and clear communication skills.
• Interest in cultural, theatrical, and performance‑space projects.
• Willingness to work full‑time in a hybrid (onsite/remote) setting in New York City.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BIM software – ArchiCAD (training provided if needed).
• 3D modeling experience in Rhino and/or Blender.

What we offer

• Full‑time hybrid position based in New York City.
• Salary range $75,000–$90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
