Architect

About the role

HDR is seeking an Architect to join its multidisciplinary Architecture practice. You will help design and deliver spaces that improve community well‑being, ranging from healing environments and learning facilities to research labs and civic landmarks.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and apply standard architectural techniques, adapting them as needed.
• Perform assignments with specific objectives, investigating limited variables and following detailed instructions.
• Execute architectural work with direction, handling limited design responsibility without immediate supervision.
• Recommend procedures, write reports and specifications, and take responsibility for phases of revenue‑producing projects.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, designers, and technical experts to solve complex design challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience and registration as an architect.
• Experience in healthcare, educational, civic, science or research facilities.
• Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project).
• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• SketchUp, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
