Architect – Federal Facilities Management

About the role
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking a senior‑level Architect to support the Finance & Facilities Division. The role will involve planning, designing, and overseeing construction and renovation projects across multiple FBI locations, including Washington, DC; Quantico, VA; and Huntsville, AL.
Key responsibilities
- Provide engineering and design research for new construction, spatial modifications, and facility upgrades.
- Manage construction projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and sustainability standards.
- Conduct on‑site inspections of equipment, construction sites, and field offices.
- Coordinate maintenance, energy monitoring, and logistical services for tenant organizations.
- Collaborate with the Real Property Management, Redstone Facilities Services, and Field Operations Support sections to align facility solutions with mission needs.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Completion of the basic education requirement (college transcripts required).
- Willingness to travel as needed.
