Architect (Federal Facilities Management)

About the role

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking a senior Architect to support the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of its facilities across multiple locations, including Washington, DC, Quantico, VA, and Huntsville, AL. This position is part of the Finance & Facilities Division and contributes to safe, modern, and efficient work environments for FBI personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering and design research, construction and spatial modification solutions for FBI facilities.
• Oversee maintenance, energy monitoring, and logistical services at the FBI Academy and Redstone campus.
• Manage real estate and facility support for 56 field offices and international legations.
• Coordinate fleet inventory and firearms range programs.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, meetings, and occasional travel to support project delivery.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of basic education requirement (college transcripts required).
• Physical ability to perform sedentary work with occasional walking, bending, and inspections.
