Appointment Coordinator – Outpatient Clinic

About the role

The Appointment Coordinator supports Shriners Children’s outpatient clinics by managing patient scheduling and registration. This position ensures smooth clinic flow and provides a welcoming experience for patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the master schedule for new and return patient appointments.
• Enter and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR), including addresses, insurance, and guardianship details.
• Send appointment reminders and notifications to patients.
• Orient new patients and families to clinic procedures and services.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred experience in scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
