Applied Researcher – Audio

About the role

You will lead research at the frontier of real‑time conversation and human‑AI interaction, contributing across the stack to novel architectures, data, and evaluations for real‑time audio. Your work will translate into state‑of‑the‑art models used in voice agents worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop new architectures for real‑time audio understanding, generation, and speech‑to‑speech models that reason jointly over multiple modalities.
• Contribute to frontier multimodal and multilingual datasets for pre‑training and post‑training, including curating data mixes and creating synthetic data generation and annotation methods.
• Set new standards for evaluating and benchmarking audio models.

Required profile

• Strong applied mindset with the ability to balance scientific novelty and product impact.
• Comfortable working across the stack—from infrastructure and data to evaluation, architecture, and model building—to solve customer problems.
• Deep expertise in deep generative modeling; experience in audio understanding, generation, speech‑to‑speech, or language modeling is a plus.
• Experience with large‑scale training, GPU/TPU acceleration, and model optimization.
