Applied Machine Learning (ML) Manager

About the role

SentiLink builds the fraud detection and identity verification models that power much of the U.S. financial system. As an Applied Machine Learning Manager you will own a core product area end‑to‑end, leading a growing team of applied ML scientists while staying hands‑on with code reviews and production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of applied ML scientists, setting engineering and modeling practices.
• Own execution for your area, including prioritisation, delivery and measurable results.
• Coach and mentor team members through model development, experimentation and technical decision‑making.
• Partner with senior leadership, Product, Engineering and Risk to deliver impactful ML solutions.
• Develop and improve fraud detection and identity models across the full lifecycle from data acquisition to production monitoring.

Required profile

• 6+ years of industry experience applying machine learning or statistics, with 3+ years managing ML or data‑science teams.
• Experience in fraud, identity, fintech, banking or related risk‑focused domains.
• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, etc.).
• Proven track record of developing and deploying production ML models and writing production‑quality Python code.
• Strong communication skills, able to mentor while remaining technically hands‑on.
